I will definitely come if the weather is good for observing.

I believe there is Chris coming as well from 14th May.

I was there a month ago, I just wanted to get out of Sydney but weather wasn't good for any astronomy that time.

Clouds all night.
Tuesday night was great but with very heavy dew.
Just great to get away.


Tonight at home is the best conditions and no dew

I went up on Sunday 14th and stayed till Wednesday.
Not the best but Tuesday night was clear but a very heavy dew so everthing got wet. Packed up went home wednesday.


Tonight at home was the best I have seen in a long time.

Good on you Chris for braving it.
Geoff probably a good choice to protect your chest cold from getting worse in damp 1* nights.
Hopefully I'll be able to come next time you get the gang together.

Geoff, did you get Covid?

I have a friend who went to birthday party in Umina Beach 3 weeks ago.

There were 15 of them, all got Covid. One guest was coughing and everyone had to suffer later on.

Anyway, I went there on Thursday till Sunday last week.

It was good but very cold, on Friday night lots of dew otherwise I'm happy with the trip.

I guess Saturday morning around 4 am was around -5C because at 7am temperature was -1C.

I will go again about a month time.

and no i don't think it is covid just a bad chest infection
my son also attended the party and was infected but covid negative

new moon in june is the weekend after the long weekend i think
will set my sites on that

I was on the other side almost nobody there.

Yes, it was quite cold, especially Friday night.
