M16 in colorized HSO

Not the most scientifically accurate representation of M16 but I like the diversion of a more artistic interpretation. This one used 'colorized HSO' nonlinear mapping. The data was taken quite a while ago and I've only now processed it. I was lucky to only have to discard a few frames.

...Wow, I shake my head, a 4" telescope can now do THAT?!...Russ Croman has utterly changed the imaging landscape. Although they seem to be all the rage these days, with the easy star removal plugins available, I'm generally not a fan of starless astroimages, (astro means "star"! so this is just an Image :rolleyes: :P)...but this is an excellent piece of work Franco, quite mesmerising :)

Thanks Mike! Yes, I do agree...I'm not a fan of starless images either. I generally prefer natural RGB colour images too. Although not as punchy, the wonder isn't in the image itself but of what it represents..something huge and very distant. Thanks once again!
