NGC 2070 is a large open cluster and candidate super star cluster forming the heart of the bright region in the centre-south-east of the Large Magellanic Cloud. It is at the centre of the Tarantula Nebula and produces most of the energy that makes the latter's gas and dust visible.

I assume you didn't shoot these in Feb but I feel your pain. A few years back the same happened holidaying on the south coast of NSW. Planned to enjoy clear dark skies with no moon and the Forestry Department took advantage of the clear calm conditions as well. Pretty annoying but very necessary, you can't please everyone. At least you managed something! If I ever try something like that again at this time of the year I'll be checking the planned burn-offs beforehand.
