Attached are three images taken 48 hrs apart of the sunspots on the Sun.
Dates are 9th, 11th and 13th April. Mostly small sunspots and low activity so far this month. All images are single exposures with a Canon 550d camera attached to a WO 81 mm refractor and herschel wedge.
I have also attached a graph of the average sunspot numbers so far for cycle 25 (source Australian BOM/SWS). The yellow line shows the av. monthly numbers, the green line the smoothed average and the purple crosses the predicted numbers. We had a high count during January and February. Actual numbers were January 143.6, February 110.9, March 122.6.
Thanks for viewing.

A fine record of the active area changes over that timespan .

Nice images John. It must have been a bit better weather where you are as we have only had clouds and rain for over a week now. Today was the first real sun we could image.
