This image is of IC446 which is located in the constellation of Monoceros.

Data was taken at Swan Reach Imaging with an integration time of 26.2 hours.

This area is often imaged without the inclusion of Ha. What I found with near 6 hours of data is that there is some interesting Ha data within the field of view. It was a pleasant surprise seeing it appear in the first lot of Ha data.

I reckon it is really a beautiful area which is not often imaged from our hemisphere particularly from our latitude. Since having a great northern horizon I have become aware of a whole raft of objects which can imaged from Swan Reach.

I hope you enjoy the image as much as I did in producing it.

Top capture Paul. The blue re
ally pops out against the red .

Thanks Kuz. The native RGB image looks quite effective but I am still in two minds about the use of the Ha. It might require a less dominating inclusion of the Ha data.

That's a great capture and an interesting new target.

I quite like the current range of colours.

Very nice Paul  It's not an area that I would ever dare image from my location.
It is nice with the gently pushed Ha being included.
