Well I am still having lots of computer problems at the moment despite a new hard drive but have managed to get some of my data from May 11.
400 frames processed, resampled at 1.3 times in Registax and then reduced to 80% in Photoshop.
Still processing some of the other AVI's.
Lots of activity on Jove.
Enjoy.
John.

Very nice, John. Tons of detail and very smooth processing.
Nice image, John.
Do you find the data holds up to a 1.3x resample?
Which do you use (Mitchell, Bell?) and do you do that on the Final tab or during the Optimise stage?
Cheers:thumbsup:

G'day Matt,
normally I actually can go to 1.5 times which I always do as a re-sample during optimisation.
I find that Mitchell is better for me, but it's much of a muchness compared to Bell and have tried all the others. The problem always is the blue channel and I process based on the level of vertical banding I get after wavelets.
Wow, very nice John.
You've got lots of detail in that shot.

Hi John,
Excellent image. I like this image and this kind of processing very much. You have been making a great progress in planetary imaging with your 12" scope in comparing with the results 2 years ago.
Only one suggestion to you. Try to replace your webcam with Lum 075C or DMKs'.
Congratulations.

cant wait for a possible trip out to wartook to see how the huge range of cameras will go through this lovely 12.5" mirror!!!
i reckon I like your final brightness levels and contrast the most out of all the joops around the world....
i definately prefer the eyeball look...............i would love to combine that mirror, some great seeing, and a high speed / big bit / ram capture and your final presentation..................hmmmm m nice!

Thanks again for the comments guys.
LT - yes, would love to upgrade to an LUM or DMK as I am reaching the limit of a webcam I would say, now just have top prioritise and save up for one!
DP - Thanks Dave. It would be great to be able to have someone take some shots through my scope with their DMK etc at the planetary camp to see the results.
putting those dkm guys to shame! good shot john! :)
