Another scorcher in Brisbane ,the thermometer on my telescope registered 38 degrees celsius . I spent my session capturing Prominences and a quick flare on the south east that I didn't expect.

The northern prom was quite static , but the south western prom was a real fast one ,you could actually see the flux movement in live view.

This was my imaging setup. 120mm Skywatcher f/8 achromat in an open frame,a tilted 2" 7nm H-alpha fliter as a sub energy rejection filter, Baader TZ4 telecentric focal extender, Player One energy rejection filter,Combo QuarkChromosphere, modified PST etalon(from a Coronado PST), ASI432mm camera

Great time lapses Martin. The activity in the proms is really interesting but the fast one is fascinating to watch.

Thanks for posting. We only had strong winds and clouds with the heat here today so no sun for us :(
