I am at a crossroads folks. Either I sell my CEM70 mount and replace it with a CEM120 so I can permanently mount my 2 heavy scopes side by side ...
or I part ways with my Officina Stellare Veloce RH200 8" F3 astrograph.
It's up to you, really.
I'll pop up some pictures of her shortly, but in the meantime if you're still reading, Bray Falls has a couple of excellent YouTube videos using this scope - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2x99cqksfI is a good place to start. My one comes with the Finger Lake Instruments Atlas focuser, and a better focuser for this telescope would be hard to find, if it even exists. 1cm of focuser travel, over 100,000 steps - the precision of this thing is incredible.
Make no mistake, this is a five figure scope. If the thought of an F3 widefield (600mm FL) Italian astrograph makes your heart skip a beat, and paying out upwards of $10,000 doesn't make it stop entirely, drop me a line and lets shoot the breeze. Alternatively, you will find my CEM70 also listed for sale here, so if you can't bear the thought of me parting with the OS RH200, feel free to buy my CEM70 instead so I can put a CEM120 in the dome and run the astrograph next to my big Tak side by side.
If you read this far, drop me a line anyway, if nothing else you deserve recognition for wading through all my waffle!
