I get it..the type of plane...I visited an old gentleman in the course of my real estate business and he was associated with some group restoring a mosquito and he showed me about three feet of a tail section..it blew me away the frame timber was about a centimetre square in section...looked ready to add the tissue paper:lol:

RAAF Museum Point Cook is restoring a Mosquito. During a visit you can walk the platform and look down on the restoration work.

British built some of the best aircraft before/during/after WWII .. Lancaster being another example. Story behind the development of the Mosquito is equally impressive.

Actually I think the frame timbers were not even a square centimetre.

I would love to look over a Mosquito...one of my greatest joys when we lived in the Riverena was visiting the War Museum in Canberra and getting so close to the planes and imagining how it would be for any of them.

One of my teachers was one of the few who survived bombing raids ..he told us the numbers and I have forgotten but just so many did not return.

My favorite plane has always been the Spitfire and I made a few rubber band powered ones...all flew never just a model.

I think I could still build one even without plans.

I should get an RC one with FPV...that would be something...I will go look now actually.
