This is the latest image from one of my rigs at Swan Reach Imaging.

It is of NGC2264, the Fox Fur Nebula, the Cone Nebula and Christmas Tree Cluster. Man that is a mouthful.

It is reasonably north of the celestial equator and presents imaging issues if you don't have a clear northern horizon. We have a nice northern horizon at the site.

It's been on my imaging list forever. We continue to have a heap of clear nights, which makes imaging easy there. ;)

I love the range of colour in this region and especially the range of star colour. Both beautifully presented. I’m in awe of the quality of the stars and the cleanliness of the defraction lines.

Cheers

Superb image Paul.

Your skies at Swan Reach must be really good given how far north this area of sky is.

Hi Paul,
an excellent image with beautiful colour,
sharp tiny stars, razor thin diffraction spikes and great detail.
It seems to be perfectly processed - I don't see how it could be improved.
Well done.

cheers

A terrific image Paul. You've got your processing of the 6200 dialed in. At first I assumed it was a QSI683 image.

Thanks guys for the compliments and comments.

The camera is nicely matched with the focal length of this scope. Though I am imaging at 2x2 bin, which gives a nice sampling and still very good size images.

Yeah that's gorgeous. I'd love to know how you get that super bright effect from your stars. They almost sparkle.

Real nice Paul, not a target I’ll ever be able to get from where I image but you’ve done well on one that doesn’t get a great deal of altitude.
