View Full Version here: : Voodoo Chicken Foraxx
Since wee Alex has decided to abandon us for the salt mine I'll double dip (in his honour) today with my first foraxx palette (using Paulyman Astro's Foraxx script: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cl3_r3bL8Ys ) I was just picking up the time after Cali set. I have to say I'm loving mono, particularly narrow band, can't recommend it highly enough. I've included the SHO for funsies. Gave it the GraXpert treatment too, better sort out my calibration.
I probably should take another panel so it's not headless
EON85 + 0.8x reducer
ASI1600MM + Antlia 3nm
EQ6R
About 4 hrs of each SHO
300s 200g 25o -10C
50 D+F+DF
Tips, tricks and criticism most welcome

Fantastic John ...I have had no net for three days and been very sick as a result of no you tube... I missed three lectures on molecular biology and will have to give up some swim suit shows to catch up.
Sincerely you are producing really great images.
Well done.

Great image mate!
Cheers Alex, that's a huge shame coz you totally rock that man-kini and owe it to humanity to share all that wonder and glory!
Thanks Adam

Spectacular. Ramping up that gain has paid off with no down side.
Thanks Ray, I had the usual HDR based aversion to it but taking some advice and testing for myself I'm a convert.

Hi John A I’m baaaaaaaaack after dragging myself to SEQLD (good salt mines here ) and trying to restore some normality to my life (which I’m failing at atm!) ... the ‘Guru’s’ words of wisdom are ringing loudly in my ears. Mate, those are truly wonderful images and I congratulate you on your growing mastery of mono, HOO, SHO, forax, pixinisght etc. I love how this style of imaging brings a 3D quality to everything in the frame, and with very aesthetically pleasing colours that are not overstated. Looking fwd to more, they’re inspiring :-)
Btw, I now need to figure out how I do astrophotography here in SEQLD when I don’t have an appropriate battery. The nature and location of accom provided by my employer does not support this wonderful hobby. I need to find someone west of Ipswich who will be happy for me to lodge whenever the night skies are clear :-)
Cheers mate ;)
OMG we're basically neighbours! You're more than welcome up here (sunshine coast) if you can manage it.

Hah - yes, virtually neighbours lolz. Btw, I bit the bullet and got a 120Ah LiFePO4 battery (4WDsupacentre), battery box with various power outlets and some Anderson plug bits and pieces. I’m now officially ‘portable’ … just need some clear skies on weekend, and to be near my gear when that happens.

thanks for the heads up on this script. Judging by your outcome, that's a total winner. Great image
