I've never shot this nebula, but when I do, I hope it's as good as that!

Incredible. The Astrobin version is as good as it gets.

Cheers Adam. Was a first light with the ASI2600MM and the Esprit 100 and was really happy to explore the fired of view that combo offers :-)

Straight to the poolroom. Love the layers of depth in your shot. Awesome.

Probably could have built a poolroom while waiting for the skies to clear. Cheers :-)

That really is a sensational Rosette. Love the tiny stars as well.

Greg.

Cheers Greg. I’ve been trying out BlurXterminator in PixInsight which does a remarkable job on Deconvolution, so feel a bit hands off in regard to creating the small stars but happy to take the win :-)

Looking good, lots of details.

Thanks Wilco. Wasn’t trying to be too much of a detail ‘nut’ but was trying to get a balance between the bigger view and the upclose pixel-peeping view.

What everyone else has said - spectacular detail!! Love it.

So what's your next target?? ;)

Benjamin

Cheers 🥂 No idea what the next target is! Summer is always waiting for the weather to clear and get more of something in the Orion region. I’m still time poor on the Pleiades (getting close to gone from here), Horsehead and M78, which are all good targets for the Esprit so probably will end up picking one of those :-) Love the classics!

A beautiful image of a popular summer target ( if the weather improves )
You’ve resolve some really fine detail and the colour is excellent
Well done !!
The 2600MM is on my radar for 2023 but I have so much more to image with the 2600MC and my 10” before I take the plunge.

Cheers

Cheers Martin. I think I’ve hit my sweet spot with $ spent and satisfaction gained in regard to Astrophotography (for now!). The APS-C sized mono chip cost me an upsize in filters as well so really pushed the limits of affordability. Being able to actually use the thing during a Brisvegas summer was rather a big bonus!!!!

That’s a gorgeous image- just so rich in colour and detail! Well done!

Thanks David. One of those objects where there is a good amount of SII to add to the mix :-)

Hi Ben,
that really is a top shelf image -
the 32 MByte version even passes the pixel peeping test.
You have pinpoint stars in all 4 corners.
The colours are striking and rich.

Well done.

cheers

That's a beauty Ben, good clarity and a lovely mix of colours, looks like a cosmic Gene coming out of a bottle, very cool 😎

Thanks for the kind words and the peeping! I’m trying to find that balance between achievable, but not noisy or ‘artifact’ creating, detail and a global sense of the colour and form, without excess saturation or too much manipulation.

Thanks Mike. The Cosmic Genie! Yes!!! I had a suggestion for the HOO version of a ‘Rose with its stem’, but the NB coloration hasn’t got me thinking of a Rose. Genie is much much better, maybe half formed (some fingers there) and taking shape… a bit gruesome perhaps….

Thanks Stephane. Oddly one of the few images I haven’t agonized over with countless variations!

nice one mate! thats a nice foraxx blend! that aperture, the image scale and bxt make for a super crisp image. love it!

i also picked up a 2600 recently, dont have enough data for a finished image but on the subs ive collected so far it absolutely lives up to the hype!

Cheers. It’s a very nice camera! I just looked up the Forax blend! Interesting! Being a QLDer, I’d also go with with a XXXX blend, given the reds and yellows :-)
