Just shut down from a long night of EAA here at Lake Mac. Good Conditions, despite the heat of the day, the breeze dropped away and the temps dropped pretty quick after midnight. The sky was very stable. Sharpcap was busy doing it's thing (via the ASI294 MC and ED150) on the long missing attractions of the late summer early morning hours: Sombrero, Centaur A, M83, M61, the Antenna galaxies, etc.all getting back up high enough to image again. And then the dew returned, the harbinger of autumn appeared briefly to encourage shutting down.
I hope many other folks were able to take advantage of the good conditions. :eyepop:

PS, I have inserted the very small thumbnail of Omega Centauri (which is all that is allowed here), to illustrate how Sharpcap builds an EAA image. It is certainly not an example of the quality of the Live stack output file.

Decided to test out a new setup tonight so have been enjoying one of these rare clear nights. Only using a DSLR tonight so waiting now for the darks to finish in about half an hour. Glad to hear the EAA session went well.

Cheers,
Mark

It was clear here but I laid down as I had a big day in town and woke up at 3am...I probably needed the sleep.

A truly lovely night last night with no wind and very clear. Perhaps just a hint of high haze but good none the less for nebula in RGBH

If if not for the trees and I could have kept tracking all night. I think a tall tower is required and that would be perfect :)

EAA was enjoyable with the 183mc . I should upgrade to another version.

Its clear here but another big day working...I hope to set it going and go to bed and set the alarm when at the push of a button the roof will close...the scopes will be uncovered however...mmm what I need is a system to cover them after the sessions without getting out of bed....it is hard work being lazy.
Good luck to all.
