Hi Jason,
I'm interested in purchasing your mount. Have you done any work to the mount, ie greased the mount, changed bearings etc.
As I am in Bermagui, I would need you to post the mount to me. Will this be OK?
I do go to Canberra reasonable frequently and could meet up if you head south to Canberra sometimes.

If I've gone outside the scope of the rules for sales I apologise but since the interested buyer mentioned bearings I just thought I'd throw in a possibility if they decide to purchase the mount and would be interested in upgrading it for a little enhanced performance.
I will make another thread on the upgrades after Ive put it through it's paces anywhere but my lounge room where I've currently ran tests with a GSO 8" F5 OTA on the mount.
Re mention of Bearings: I know it's not pertinent to the sale and apologise for any unwanted/non permitted reply but I have the identical mount and I just swapped out the 6007 roller bearing on the RA axis for a 32007 tapered roller bearing and replaced worm gear bearings (628ZZ) and while it was a lengthy procedure waiting for an engineer to machine the RA housing out an extra 4mm depth for the tapered roller bearing it's made a heck of a difference to the smoothness of the operation. Night trials tomorrow night weather permitting.
The RA bearing axis has both axial and radial loads depending on the position of the scope so I think/hope it's improved the overall mount.
Just throwing this in here as a "can be done on these mounts if you know an engineer who can do the machining and understand the refurbish process".
My old EQ5 PRO has NEVER been so smooth or quiet.
I also replaced PET plastic shim spacers with PTFE (Teflon 0.5mm shim material).
Hint: if you do these mounts with PTFE shims, cut the 0.5mm stuff with a good compass point, just remember unlike me, cut the outer radius first.
Scoring round and round till it's through.
Overall, they are a great mount for the price!
Thanks Leo, agree these are great little mounts and has served me very well. This is very smooth in its operation on its original bearings. Only reason for sale is I wanted heavier payload for future and belt drive for long tracking in Western NSW beautiful clear sky's to get even deeper. Was going to keep as a spare travel kit as my big mount is on pier in my observatory. The weight I had on this EQ5 was 5-6kg. Can assist in freight and may be able to come up with deal if I arrange freight for any perspective party.
Also if anyone is interested I will be going to Sydney Monday to Castle Hill if you’re interested in item to collect.
