Sun in Double Stacked H-Alpha - 8th January

A rare post from me but then again the sun is ramping up its activity. :)

Seeing was good yesterday afternoon and I managed a nice capture which may be of interest to solar buffs.

Taken with Lunt 80 with double stack unit. Used a Basler Ace camera (174 sensor) and 2.5X power mate. Best 400 frames from 5000.

Bit late to comment Ted, that is a top shelf image you have captured. Excellent detail of the ARs' and Filaments and Proms.
