M22 is composed of 23 frames, the Trap 32 frames.
Originally I thought that the M42 avi was unusable being so over exposed, but on closer inspection I noticed that every 15 frames there were 2 that were darker. So I harvested 70 of these using Virtual Dub, stacked them and this is the result.
Post processing in Zoombrowser Ex, curves and USM.
Camera Settings.
Senseup was set at 48x to avoid trails
Shutter was off

Nice imaging JJJ, you nearly got a full separation of the individual stars in the trapezium and no burning out of the core in M22.

Well done.

Great images Jeanette - well done! You’ve managed to retain the core in M42 which is not an easy task.

M22 also continues to surprise me; it is such a rich, dense globular, but tends to get overshadowed by the two other greats; Omega Centauri and 47 Tuc.

Cheers

Well done Jeanette. I've been waiting patiently for you to post some pics from the GSTAR. I hope you are finding it easy to use. Look forward to a report on it as i'm considering getting one as well.
Cheers,
Duncan:thumbsup:
