1st Jan 2023. Start of a new solar year.
Three images are shown today.
First shows the sunspot locations - image taken with a 81 mm refractor, herschel wedge at 540 nm.
Second image shows the Sun's northern hemisphere at 656 nm (Ha) - this lines up with the first image. Taken with a Lunt 100 mm solar scope (SS).
Third image is of the Sun's western sector at 656 nm (Ha).
All images are single exposures with a Canon 550d.
Very hot today 37C.

take them at night. its cooler then. :rofl: (sorry heat getting to me 41C here now)

Glad you managed to capture these and start the year off in the right way :) A good record of activity.
