Ordered Sunday arrived Wednesday from Glen Innes to Canberra.

Impressive for the Silly Season.

Not that i've ever had a problem with them - ordered something monday and it arrived today.

The only occasions i have had delivery times go beyond what i expected, its because the seller used the <insert name of large online auction site here> to buy the postage but took their own sweet time dropping off the parcel to their post office.

Canberra Northwest auspost service is excellent. Never had any complaints. Well ok, once they lost my new passport. My bad experiences are for the most part with private courier services.

My rural post service Young region is incredible. Postie's name is Susan. She delivers Mon, Wed, Fri. I get the auspost auto-notification of delivery in the morning.

She leaves parcels in an agreed safe place even sign for parcels if i am not there and then sends me an sms to say she's left it there. If it's particularly valuable item, I'll send her an sms and ask her to leave it with the neighbouring property.

I can also get her to pick up outgoing mail by putting a red flag on my postbox because there are no post boxes in the district. If I was organised enough with packaging and postal costs, I could even call her to collect an outgoing parcel.

I have been waiting for an order to arrive since 27 November from ADM accessories. According to tracking it arrived in Australia on the 7 of December and has been last seen at Sydney airport. Not seen or updated since. Looks like it has been lost somewhere along the way. Aust Post is frankly overworked and understaffed and not capable of consistent delivery. Happy that others have had some success lately but not impressed by this latest loss for myself. Second loss in 4 years.

Paid for some SkyWatcher tripod feet yesterday at 4pm... got to me today at 11am.

Mind blown. I've never had this sort of service from AusPost, it's usually the opposite. Well done, AP!
