Hi,
Totally new to all this and just purchased a SW127 mak. Does anyone know the type of attachment I would need to buy in order to mount my iphone to take some basic snaps ?

Just web search "SVBONY Universal Cell Phone Adapter Mount Telescope Phone Mount for Binocular Monocular Spotting Scope Telescope Support Eyepiece Diameter 25 to 48mm"
Amazon AU have for $19.99
There are other types some that clamp to top of eyepiece but I find they dont grip enough. This type also available in other brands works fine.
Note you need a 40mm or 32mm eyepiece giving good exit pupil and eye relief. Can work with shorter focal length eyepieces but I tend to use lower power and zoom in with the phone.
This type of astrophotography is called digiscoping (also known as afocal projection). Best for the Moon since it requires short exposures.

On some mobile phones you can change the aperture size and shutter speeds if you hit the unlock at the top of the screen, this will allow you to manually set the phone's camera settings.
You probably won't need to go past .25secs for most bright objects, planets, moon etc. Max. one to two secs or you'll start to get blurry stars on non-solar objects.
You should also be able to set a delay on the camera, a 3 second delay will give the scope time to settle, clicking the phone may cause vibrations on the scope which will affect the photo.
Check the web for instructions specific to your brand and type of phone.
