Getting ready to do my first attempt at a mosaic. My plan is to do a 2x2 mosaic of M42 in HaRGB over 4 nights - 2 for Ha & eventually 2 for RGB when there are clear skies & no moon - currently the hardest thing to achieve.
I use ASTAP for stacking. Am I right in thinking I stack each filter pane individually in ASTAP, then bring the 4 resulting panels for each filter back into ASTAP to stitch together before combining the four completed mosaics in Photoshop?
