Looking at options for a portable monitor to connect to my soon to be acquired mini pc. Probably something like this one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BHM8HJKX/

Any suggestions or recommendations - after something budget as it will be rarely used, only when I'm away from home.

TIA

Got an iPad? Or an Android tablet? Use Remote Desktop, if so.
Or you can also remote in from your phone if you're okay using that screen size

RDP all the way, no monitor required just a tablet or phone.

I agree, use remote desktop (google & microsoft) on your existing phone/tablet? I've used both and prefer MS but google is easy to setup

You won’t get a 14” tablet for the price of the Amazon product. Anything smaller for a desktop is not ideal although workable.

Never realized I could do it from a tablet, will look into it. Thanks all.

Was looking for something of a good size, but will check out options for my tablet & see how comfortable it is to use & if my poor old eyes will be good enough for it. :D

When imaging from home, I either use my desktop with curved monitor or tablet sitting on the couch.

At the moment at home I have my laptop connected to my gear - which I will replace with a mini pc, and remote into it with TeamViewer from my pc inside. Just looking for something for when I'm away from my home network.

You could do the same with a portable travel router if you want to still use a laptop

I use this when away from home
TP-Link AC750 Wireless Wi-Fi Travel Router (TL-WR902AC) https://amzn.asia/d/895gCNf

It creates its own wifi network that you can connect to. Set it all up at home once and you’re good to go

That's another good option, thanks Adam

If you've got it set up correctly, you can even go out for dinner and check out your progress from the restaurant/cafe.

P.S. in this case, dinner out with an astro friend
P.P.S. Yes, iPad Pro Gen1, nothing fancy needed.

I'm safe from having to do that, don't have anywhere I would feel safe leaving things setup & no room for any type of obs. :D

Decided to go with Adams suggestion of the travel router. Will allow me to connect whatever way I want - tablet (though my 7" one isn't the best for it), laptop or pc.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

I use that exact monitor. Works brilliantly, and from 5V USB. Recommended
