Hi all,
Is there some non-destructive way of attaching the EAF to this focuser on my new Skywatcher 300P f4 newtonian? I maybe thought of using the two holes next to the centre knob but not sure, so I thought I would throw out the question. Pics included for reference.

What purpose does the big shiny knob serve? Friction? If so, remove it, and use that thread, it's what I tend to do (albeit, not on a SW scope, but.....).
EDIT: I think also you could use two of the four attachment screws/bolts. Take one out, see what thread they are (possibly M4?) and get the required length to fit. Again something I have done.

I used this method. It’s a DIY job and needs a hose clamp and a bit of aluminium. I’ll attach a photo so you can get the idea. You remove the coarse focus knob. Let me know if you need more images. The scope is a GSO 8 inch newt with a standard Bintel 10:1 Crayford focuser.

Thanks for the reply,
Yeah I think it is for friction. I was thinking of using that and two of the other bolts, but wanted to know if anyone HAD actually done it.

I’m pretty sure ZWO sell an adaptor for that particular focuser that uses the 4 small black screws to mount the EAF

I was actually looking for this but couldn't find it. I will most likely just get bigger bolts to go into the existing place of the original outer 4 bolts. It looks like it will line up with the EAF bracket.
