Been waiting for a clear night for ages to shoot the timelapses for a 2-minute beginners' video on how to see the December 8th Mars lunar occultation. It will be full moon with Mars at opposition. They don't get much better than that!

For those clouded out, or living outside Europe/USA/Canada, I'm going to livestream it from 04:45 UT (unless, of course, I'm clouded out too!)

Fingers crossed. Despite our notorious weather, hopefully it will be clear!

The weather is not looking good in NL. I'll still try to get it, but in case I'm clouded out:

The occultation time varies depending on location.
