It has taken a week for us to see the sun again long enough to take an image. Today it was touch and go. We had to wait until the afternoon for some breaks in the cloud and our first attempt resulted in only a single 30 second video being taken and it was game over. We realised after taking it that we had set up so quickly we hadn't even fine focused. We were hopeful, so only partially packed up. On our second attempt we captured this full disk image and had changed scope for some close ups and the clouds returned again. This time we packed up for good and there was yet another small opportunity very late in the day but we had conceded defeat by then.
It is unfortunate, as there are some pretty impressive proms spread around the disk. One prom on the north east side appears to have a ball of plasma floating above the rest of the prom. Probably with more magnification we would have been able to see more connections.

Ha image taken with Daystar Solar Scout 60 double stacked with Lunt 40 etalon, ASI178MM camera and 0.5 reducer.

A good effort Peter and Clare despite the conditions. The weather has not been good for a few weeks now. Maybe things will pick up soon. Cheers John W.
