The HyperStar Lens allows CCD imaging at f/2.0 with compatible Celestron 11” HD Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes and compatible CCD cameras.
Gives a large FOV (5 x Prime Focus) and short exposures (1/25th that at Prime Focus)
Price: 950 AUD + postage
Purchased new 2/9/2016. Rarely used and as new - I upgraded to a C14 and bought the Hyperstar for that.
Inclusions:
- Hyperstar 3 Lens - 11" Celestron Edge HD
- Nanuk Carrying Case
- Attachment/ spacers for Canon EOS 5D mkII & ZWO ASI 1600MC
Specs:
f/2.0
focal length: 560mm
image circle: 27mm
This is a link to a folder with pictures of the Hyperstar and the instruction manual. I also include a picture of my rig imaging M31, the Andromeda Galaxy...at a very low altitude, using the ZWO ASI 1600MC with the resultant final image, which given its massive size, required a 2 x 2 mosaic.
