Interesting, apparently the water mark was inside the optics if I remember correctly. Did they remove the objective and re-collimate?

Hi Peter,
The objective did not have to be removed from it's sell. The way it's set up it unscrews from the OTA in tacked so collimation should not be an issue . I will test it tonight an let you know how it is.
Louie :)
good to hear :)
bye bye enya!
so what was the damage for this minor miracle and what di you get for your money?

I would be very interested to know if I ever need some similar service. Hopefully I wont now as I have just purchased the Kendrick Dew removal system. Not cheap, but neither is the Tak.
The amount of wiring on the mount etc now is starting to look a bit like that behind most PC's, it is becoming a bit of a birds nest.
Cheers.

Check this mess out. Going to have to work out what to put where. Big problem is that half the cables move when the scope slews.
Sorry about the size of the piccy, it is supposed to be 800x600

While not immune to the spaghetti syndrome, I try to route all to a common point near the tube balance point, and normally wrapo with a strip of velcro material. Once on the tube, at this point, I then go in the various directions that is required. Saves snagging the counterweight shaft or similar.
Only three out of a group this size Louie? I find that hard to believe.

Louie, you must be very relieved. What's more, you'll be able to bring your scope this weekend. Are you coming?
