LMC ISO 3200 as promised. Canon 600D Yongnuo 50mm @ f/1.8
120 x 7 secs. In camera noise reduction enabled. I'll try 6400 next, and if that is o.k I'll try 12800.

Good one Raymo, nice detail. Was this hand held as well?

Cheers Oska; I think even Superman would be hard put to hand hold 120
seven second exposures. Was another static tripod image like the previous one.

nice work raymo - i think 12800 might be pushing it a bit hard on the 600d; i use to find 3200 the sweet spot. 6400 could be ok if you get enough data. regardless great shot.

cheers

Great work Raymo...I have had ISO up at 25,500? But I can't remember how it turned out...however one can get away with higher ISO than in the past ...I have used 6400 sucessfully ( to a degree)..but hey the fun is in experimenting and I bet you are having heaps.

You are inspirational so keep it up.

Great image, Raymond. A FOV of a standard DSLR 50mm lens (‘nifty fifty’) is suppose to roughly equate to the eye’s FOV … seems about right! Alex

Thanks everyone; I'll do 6400 and 12800 tonight if the sky stays clear.
