Captured around 4 hours on this a few weeks ago. My telescope was parallel to the ground. Pretty happy with outcome , colours a bit out.

Taken with 300 sec subs .esprit 120

I expect atmospheric refraction could be blamed for any issues with colour...but great image ... you can be very proud as capturing it could be called impossible yet you did it.

Very, very, very good image! Loving the colours and the amount of detail you've captured.

I don't think the colours are out at all. Great capture!

Great shots! Beautiful detail and colour. I can see a little what your saying about the colour but I think it’s just the background white balance should be a super easy fix

Thanks all . Yeah the colours are a bit pear shaped in colour here. On my home computer it is blue and red. I live in a industrial town and had to image straight through all the light glow of industry .

Thanks for all the encouraging comments. Cannot wait to half work out pixinsight. And get starnett2 hooked up with it as well.

Did you try something like: https://www.galactic-hunter.com/post/starnet2

Nicely done! I suspect the ideal colour balance is in between the first two you have posted here. Good to see astro happening in my old hometown too :D

Thanks Andy . Yes this was taken through the lovely haze of 65 million lights at QAL aluminium refinery and the 400 million lights at the gladstone port coal facility. (Fake numbers but if have seen these places you would agree.) The optolong L extreme has worked quite well.
