First attempt with pixinsight

Finally had some good weather that lined up with the weekend . This is my first attempt of using pixinsight . Thanks you tube. Only had time to spend about 3 hours processing . I will hopefully give it another go tomorrow.

That is a wonderful image. I was going to have another go at it last night but was just too tired but seeing your wonderful image I feel inspired to try and find some of the detail you present here. Well done.

Great image Kuz, full of detail and colour. A few of us are giving PI a crack; you seem to be getting the hang of it. Is the data OSC, NB, or a mixture of both?

Thanks all . This image was take with a osc zwo 294 pro set at unity gain .I was lazy and only used lights and darks.

I processed this a per dylan o Donald you tube clip pixinsight for beginners. I just used star reduction on pixinsight. As I am struggling to load starnet into pixinsight . Which I can't wait to get up and running

Mate that’s really nice! Subdued but lovely to the eye and full of detail. Nice stars field too. I think I might give PI a shot next year so I’m taking notes seeing the progress of others starting off.

Phenomenal first effort. Detail, colour, dynamic range, framing, stars… you’ve ticked all the boxes. YouTube really helped me with Pixinsight, there are tons of videos. My favorite Pixinsight channels are VisibleDark, DSOimager, and Lukomatico. The website https://www.lightvortexastronomy.com is just excellent.
