Nice image John, and thanks for sharing. I glimpsed it through the clouds for few mins (in Syd) and wondered if anyone south of QLD border had a clear view. Alex

Was at Murwillumbah hitchhiking home at 7.00PM, and it was heavily overcast and raining, so did not expect to see the Eclipse. But when I got home, 44 Kilometres away it was perfectly clear Skys and the Eclipse had started.

Havejust lost my Drivers License as due to a Cataract my Eyesight is failing. But still van read, it is my distant vision that is going. So took out our 11X80 binoculars, and could clearly see Pleiades, M42, etc, through them.

So it is just distance that is the worry. And could make out Orion clearly, though Jupiter was blurry to my eyes.

Excellent shot. I got to watch it, but couldn't get the camera up and running.
Kudos on a fine image.
