That's an outstanding nightscape Mickoid, very peaceful setting with the blood moon hanging majestically amongst the hazy sky. You've though this out and executed well. Great composition.

Thanks for all your compliments guys, it pretty much turned out the way it looked last night as I set up on the road side. A car or two drove past and illuminated some of the nearby grass but that enabled a spider to feature in the shot as well - can you spot it? It's obvious in the hi res I have but difficult to resolve in this compressed jpeg. I thought the patchy cloud was going to spoil the night but it managed to clear just before the end of totality. It was a lovely peaceful night in the end, albeit a little rushed to get the shot in time. I forgot to mention I used a 30mm Sigma lens for this one.

By the roadside...passing cars...30mm lens...and it all came together brilliantly. Great capture! :2thumbs:

Thanks Warren, sometimes you can get lucky, even when you're rushed things can turn out as planned. I'd been driving around for quite a while trying to find a clear spot to pull off the road with a clear view to the east.

Glad you liked it John, thanks for the compliment.
