So much dew out there tonight, my hair dryer was getting a solid workout!

Took this pic with my 10" and an LPI, using the meade standard software to stack it.

Could I suggest perhaps upgrading to a ToUcam, and sticking a barlow in there? Your images will improve!

I have considered the Toucam before. Hmmm, I actually didn't pull out my barlow until I pulled my camera off at the end of the night and did some visual observing of Jupiter, and it held the image fairly well. If it's clear again tonight I will give that a shot at least :) I may have to borrow a Toucam to try it out, myself Fahim and another friend who is into astronomy all work at the same company and we trade equipment around a bit :thumbsup:

I had another crack tonight but this time with a 2x barlow as suggested. I'm happy with the result :)

That's good work Kal! Probably a tad too much gamma/curves reduction, making the limbs too dark all around.

Nice colours though! Well done!

How long did you capture for?

I captued for about 5 minutes with my autostar software set to 70% quality filter, grabbing 238 frames.

Next step is to borrow either the neximage or the Toucam ;)

BTW - I think the colors are different because I captred in FITS, and used the trial version of MaximDL to combine them all again later - the colors certainly look different to the first pic I took at F10.

ah I think that's why it appears a bit blurry (the features). 5 minutes is probably too long, even at the smaller image scale.

Try limiting it to 2mins or 2:30, and see how you go!

lol, you know, I was out there and I was thinking about a guide I read somewhere the other day, and tryiing to remember if the suggested maximum image time for Jupiter was 3 minutes, 5 minutes or 8 minutes hahahaha!
