Hi everyone!

Been a loooong while between posts, but what the heck, it's my B'day :D

First image after getting the camera back from it's extended holiday in Portugal.

This is a shakedown from my light polluted Melbourne backyard to see if the ongoing camera shutter issues have been resolved at the Atik /QSI factory - happily, so far so good, gosh, so much to remember after a break of 5 months!

Sadly the weather here has been dire - just 3 clear nights in the past month so this is all the data I have, but it's come up pretty well overall, largely thanks to Voyager & Noise Xterminator - Amazing software!
(no Topaz either!)

I've mapped Ha > Deep Red, O3 > Blue and S2 >ultrared for a more "natural" look - seemed to create a nicer result than the HST version I was originally tinkering with.

These bizarre shaped little nebs remind me of Dick Dastardly and his motley crew in the old cartoon TV show "The Wacky Racers".

Some random, crazy stuff up there in the LMC - always a pleasure to visit!

I'll pay that one Andy! Nicely done.

Russ Crowman's Xterminator tools are amazing aren't they!

PS: You've got a bit of a green cast going on there though

Ultrared and Deep Red! Will have to remember those :)
Because it's turned out fantastic; a really pleasing image, Andy.
The LMC has years worth of targets to play with!

That’s beautiful Andy. The gentle orange and blue glows around their respective stars also help with the natural look. The palette is deep and yet subtle and the star field has a lovely balance with the nebulosity. Very nice indeed.

What a Wacky image!

Intriguing slice of the LMC that area, for sure, looks great Andy, maintaining the glowing halos around the bright stars is an interesting twist too

...and glad to hear that, at your age, your equipment still works :)

Fabulous framing there Andy - your trademark of excellence.

A lively image of one of my favourite nebula areas in the southern sky.

Greg.

Cheers Marcus - the Crowman tools are so amazing, it was a case of download trial version, be absolutely gobsmakked then, quick - take my money now!

Cast? Maybe, I need to get back under dark skies again!

Yes Adam, it's a spectacular region that keeps on giving alright! Thanks for the nice feedback!

Cheers Dave - kind of you to drop by. :)

Thanks Ryan, I kinda like that 'Akira Fuji' effect that Starspikes Pro gives when used sparingly, havn't found anything else that does it nearly as well. :D

Lol, cheers Mike! As Data would say, I am fully functional :lol::lol:

Thanks Greg, Voyager's framing wizard is a delight to use and so easy - wish I'd gotten onto it earlier, really makes framing choices a breeze. :)

Maybe the best LMC has to offer - and it's a great image. I like the colour rendition and framing. Superb!
