Hi Guys
I am trying to connect my Celestron 6SE to a laptop without success. The laptop is a HP 15s running Win11 (version 22H2) and I am using the USB in the celestron handset to computer USB A with CPWI program. So far every time I try I get the message that Windows does not recognise the USB or the driver has failed. Tried downloading the driver from Prolific and installed it but still get same message the driver has failed.

The cables are OK as I can control the telescope from my desktop connect the hand control to USB.

Is this a software or hardware problem ? Anyone had the same problem and resolved it? Thanks.

I used to have a CGEM, had a very similar problem. The issue for me was getting the Prolific driver with the correct chip type/version. I don't remember the details sorry, google around.

I had a similar issue with my CGEM. Can you use compatibility mode in Windows to talk to the USB port?

I have talked to Celestron about this but the end result was its an issue with Windows or the setup of the laptop by HP and they couldn`t go any further with my problem. Not helpful.
