Took some effort to drag myself off the couch but got out to see mighty Jupiter reach high at the zenith for a 90 sec capture with the 10" at F15. Conditions seemed to be decent but I realised that my focus was slightly off thus lacking sharpness...
Always an amazing sight with the planet presenting large and bright in the sky.

Good stuff Anthony, looks pretty nice to me. I was out there on the night of the 18th and seeing wasn't great, that may have given you the impression that your focus was out a bit. When conditions are like that it is often hard to know when you've found focus. Rain forecast for the next few days so good on you for grabbing a shot before the bad weather.

Nice image Anthony. As you say, a great sight! The seeing was not that good on Tuesday night which probably didn't help.

Mick, thanks for your encouragement let’s hope the forecast rain isn’t as heavy as predicted for the country’s sake!
never get tired of the planets- I enjoy there seasonal appearances whether it’s visually or taking images. It’s hard to predict the seeing even with the ever trusty Skippy Sky forecasts. It’s still hit and miss.
Thanks Russ!
cheers Dave- yeh I know/ just love this hobby but energy levels after a full day really tests the will power..heheh
