Lovely, pleasing, clean looking image, nicely processed
Just checked out your AstroBin album, some really nice looking images there, particularly like your Whirling Banana, I recall when you first posted that too, cool composition.

Not bad Adam! Pleasing colors. I'm assuming the HSO palette?
I prefer the one with stars :)

Cheers Marcus! Glad you like the colour blend! Its actually more SHO, but with extensive use of the other channels as scalers :)
I'm usually with you on the star versions, but I like the wispy bits of Oiii that show up a lot clearer in the starless making it look a little 'steamy' :)

Heresy! Blasphemer! it's the blessed Hubble SHO palette but you mixed the colour channels and balance? <gasp>
So, it's not an SHO image any more, but it's still a handsome image. Confusing, but compelling.

Wow what a beautiful image! Stunning colour and detail that draws you in deep!! I’m also not really a fan of starless versions, but I agree there’s something very beautiful about this one. I could absolutely imagine that hanging on my wall

Hey Adam, I understand the camera you use is a mono camera and has tiny 2.32 micron pixels, do you image un-binned or bin 2X2?

Lol :) This is science/ art, not religion so no such thing as blasphemy here :D.
Sort of - its predominately done through pixelmath rather than chancombine and curves. on this one I did apply a slight curve to the Oiii before combining, mainly to tighten up the low end contrast.

Hey mike, I always put detailed acquisition details in my astrobin image, which is partly why I get lazy with it here :)
I only ever image in 2x2 with this rig, higher dynamic range and 24mb subs vs ~90mb; plus i'm limited to ~1.1"/px by the aperture and bin2 with this camera and this scope gives me an imaging resolution of exactly that anyway :)
Great shot Adam. So very deep and the colours are great ;)

Lovely shot there Adam. The colours and detail are phenomenal. From a distance, it looks nice and smooth; up close, it's satisfyingly sharp. A difficult balance you've achieved so well. Looks like Astrobin likes the image too!
