Some clear skies in Melbourne for a change, and the jetstream was predicted to not be too bad. unsure a bit on how far to go on processing saturn  jupiter was pretty low, have some more data when it was higher will check it later on but it might have got a bit jumpy. i hope people took advantage of the conditions.
cheers

Nice clean shots of Saturn there Russell. Jupiter's a little softer but as you mentioned, it was lower in the sky. Look forward to seeing the ones you took when it got a little higher. I didn't get out last night but I had a go on Tuesday night and the planets were definitely wobbling and distorting quite severely at times. Looks like it was better last night. What scope did you use?

Really nice shots- I don’t think it helps much to go hard on the processing (my personal preference) and I think a more natural look is really nice. Lol that last Saturn shot…probably a bit much!:P

Great shots Russ! Definitely a better night than Tuesday night. Saturn steals the show.

thanks mickoid - yes I was surprised that much detail came out of jupiter tbh. will post them when I get to them, but not sure they will top saturn it seemed steadier earlier on. i was using my 12" dob for capture - its pretty much my goto for planetary.
thanks Dave - haha yes i need to get some tips of P&C on merging the moons back in!
Thanks guys - i hope you managed to get out there last night!
I managed to battle through winjupos to put together all the saturn captures. it is definitely worth the effort
