Finally got a break in the clouds late in the afternoon. We rarely get good images in the afternoon but the seeing was slightly better today than yesterday.
Full disk Ha image taken with Daystar Solar Scout 60 double stacked with Lunt 40 etalon, ASI178MM camera and 0.5 reducer.
Close up Ha image taken with 72ED, Solar Scout Quark and ASI178MM.

Very nice Peter and Clare!
I find it amazing the FOV difference between the DSS60 and the ED72 with just a 0.5 reducer!

Thanks Ken.
The Quark off the Solar Scout has an internal barlow of 4.3.
The Solar Scout has an overall focal length of 930mm including the barlow and the reducer makes this around 465mm.
The 72ED has a focal length of 420mm x 4.3 of the Quark barlow, so it is running at 1806mm.
That means almost four times the focal length between the two set ups.

Thanks again Clare and Peter.
I didn't click with the focal length of the SS being 930mm. I had always thought that the SS was a much shorter FL. It's great learning from those in the know!!!
