Today's installment here (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery556.html)

This will likely be the last one for a bit....the forecast is rain for the next week
and high cloud is now rolling in as I write.

Seeing was not too shabby this morning, and supported a larger image scale while
retaining fine solar details (I rather like the tiny vertical flare on the limb at 9 o'clock)

I've uploaded a nice big image to surf around.

Hope you enjoy the view.

I guess it's a keeper :)

too kind :thanx:

As a post script, for those who have not tried it, h-alpha observations of the Sun
are remarkably dynamic. While an image of M42 might show a proper motion of a star after a decade,
features on the Sun change in minutes....definitely the yin of deep sky yang.

Yowsers!! That is one stunning image.

And to think that most of those little spots and ripples are larger than our entire planet... Puts a bit of perspective on things, I think.

Cheers,
V
