Wanted to see what I could get from extremely limited data. Clouds and constant fiddling with the Newtonian limited image capture (or half decent image capture). In the weighted batch preprocessing script PixInsight refused to integrate my 3x30s blue frames (it quite rightly wanted a lot more!). The stars aren’t great (collimation/tilt) but a reasonable amount of the galaxy came through. NoisExterminator helped a lot as did making a range mask that isolated the dodgy parts of a very uneven background. In the end it is what it is.

Another absolute beauty, Ben. Sone nice hydrogen pockets popping out too. Stars look pretty good to me. Well done.

thats real nice pickup of the dark dust lanes, and excellent colours for such a short integration! love it!

Glad I chose a pretty bright galaxy to image! Many thanks.

I didn’t really think I’d get much at all, although some more time to refine those wonderful dust lanes would be a bonus. Thanks for nice comments :-)
