After suffering 2 weeks of star withdrawals I managed a few hours in marginal conditions - but a fix is a fix right?

Great result! You’ve managed to pick up a heck of a lot of the dusty surround!

Thanks David. It's the first one I kinda got what I set out to do. The jpg compression murders it a bit tho.

I don't see an anteater in there, but I do see some very bright stars and lots of dark dust...

As the others have said, a good result!

I think we've all been there at some stage. Damn fine result though.

Thanks Steve. Im guessing, coz I don't have a clue, the dark structure is what is being referred to? the long nose coming out of the bright "bows in it's hair" part :)

Thanks Warren. I had 4 goes at getting not awful compression and gave up :)

That’s a great image John, with plenty of different interesting things to look at as you move across the image. And ‘yep’, a fix is a fix which seem few and far between atm! Alex

Cheers Alex. I just got my LX200 setup and it's happening again!
