Apologies of this has been covered before but I was wondering which is better for astro-photography, a DSLR or Meade DSI Pro.
I currently use a Canon EOS 10D.
Cheers
I'd stick with the 10D and read up on some tutorials or books on processing astro image files.
The 10D is a great camera and was at the forefront of the DSLR astro imaging revolution.
I would say a digital SLR for a short focal length refractor - it has a large chip compared to the DSI, and refractors with field flatteners give excellent large flat image circles.
For a long focal length SC I would say the DSI, but then again you are chasing two different targets with each of these two setups I listed.

What tutorials do you recommend?
Here's one to get you started.
It's by Jerry Lodriguss.

I'll do a search and post some more later.
