I have seen many different configurations with back focus on an RC6 but with a 1200D DSLR using the 2" and 1" spacer should achieve focus.

I am using a ZWO OAG in-conjunction with the setup and using the 2" & 1" as well as both the 1" and 2" I still can't get focus.

Do I need to add another extension adapter? I don't understand why some can achieve focus with less extension adapters unless its a limitation of the camera?

Hello Chrys.

Certainly not a Limitation of the camera. The way to tell if you need more or less spacers is to rack your focuser out, and see if stars are coming to focus. If they are, then yes, you need more spacers to put the chip further back.

I use a Canon 700d with my RC6 with the 2" and 1" spacers to achieve focus.

If you introduce an OAG into the mix wouldn't it stand to reason that you need to remove the 1" spacer to achieve focus?

cheers

Alright so I did another test.

Silly me I was focusing on trees that were a lot closer than I thought! I thought they were the more distant ones.

I managed to get focus with the 2" extension only so happy days!
