Before imaging Saturn and Jupiter, we took some images of the 47% waxing crescent moon in the anticipation that Artemis 1 was on its way. Not so, but we did enjoy the view.

Lovely work - you've also got Surveyor 5 and Ranger 8 in the same region as the Apollo 11 landing base.:)

Cheers

Thanks Dennis.
We didn't even think to add those other missions.
A bit focused on the idea of people going back there.
The image of the first time is still indelibly imprinted in the brain :)

great work P&C - I really feel you two have cranked it up another notch on your planetary photos of late. Great captures and excellent processing.

Thanks Russell. We keep trying different things to see if we can make improvements. It's surprising that there always seems to be something you can do better :)

These are wonderful images! Really crisp and for me, someone who doesn’t know their moon geography so well I appreciated the labels!!

I did a quick visual setup last night dodging clouds etc and probably spent most my time binoviewing on the moon. Very enjoyable indeed!!

Thanks David. Yes, moon names are interesting to say the least. Some are memorable but others are obscure at best. We have moon charts that make viewing much more interesting. If we ever get to the moon in a permanent way, the signposts are going to be interesting!
