Hi Guys.

After reading a thread here a while back about taking pictures with your mobile I decided to give it a shot.
I was quite impressed with image of the moon, although I didnt really bother to get closer as it was a full moon so the detail just isnt there. I'll be taking some more when it it's half moon, a bit closer in for some detail. The other is of jupiter, but I couldnt hold it steady enough for the phone to focus. I think though with a bit higher magnification I think Jupiter would be quite good with a bit of trial and error.

So lets see yours.

Is that a moon with the Jupiter shot, surely it couldn't be, not taken on a mobile phone. I like the moon shot

looks like a dead pixel to me. Great efforts though with the mobile, not something you see everyday.

It just goes to show what can be done. I'm gonna try something similar when these damn skies clear.
Well done:thumbsup:

Looks great.

Yes that "moon" is a hot pixel.

Amazing! How good are these phone cameras going to get?

Here's a Photoshopped version of your Moon photo - levels done, quick-and-dirty sharpen - looks amazingly good in greyscale (I supect the original colour distribution reflects reality however).

What phone, please? What is the resolution setting? Any settings adjusted or just point and click? Looks very good!

Well, our NEC mobiles already have 1.3Mpixels camera build in (actually two of them, one for taking pics and another one for video calls....
The difference between "Phone" and "camera" gadgets is blurred more and more recently.... It seems that one we will have just "gadget" which will be a phone and computer and camera and .... who knows what.
