Sitting in the warmth of the lounge room looking at Stellarium, deciding my evenings viewing.
Given my naivety to all things astronomical l guess l should leave the planets alone and learn the SCP and close by regions.
Tonight's aim, PA focussing on recognising Polaris, T, U, X Oct easily. Not hard but I need familiarity.
Then 47 and 75 Tucanae.
Then l can find one object in the Milky Way and see if l can identify it. Thinking Hand cluster Banana Nebula, Whirling Dervish Nebula.
Have Stellarium outside with me, I'll be back later to report on my observing success.
Life is great.
Edit. It's so warm inside.
Edit 2. I should have stayed inside.
Whether it be my untrained eye or just poor visibility, l did not find any Tuc's, nor anything else.
The mango tree didn't help with Milky Way objects, best l fix the chainsaw.
The best thing was that everything stayed dry thanks to a few bits of pine screwed together to make half a box and covered my laptop and EP tray.
Jupiter is still there, way lass CA tonight than two nights ago.
Clear Skies.
