After missing Saturn at opposition we, like quite a few others, have tried to capture Saturn again but the seeing has been most unfavourable. This is another example of when it would have been better not to have bothered :)
None the less, having tried as many things as we could to improve the capture, this is the best image we got by using the shortest exposure time we could to try and cut through the atmosphere. There was also quite a strong, gusting wind which didn't help either. We persevered because Titan was in nice and close.
Image taken with a 6" SCT, ASI178MC, 1.8x barlow and ZWO ADC.

Hey I missed this one! Nice capture + integrating the moons in the shot. I think you’re doing extremely well for 6” aperture and mediocre seeing!

Thanks David. We do enjoy our 6" scope as to us it is "big" compared to our two previous 5" scopes. It's been a frustrating planet season this year so far. The seeing ranges from bad to terrible plus heaps of clouds where we are.
