Hi all
I was delighted with this one stacked and barely processed in ImagesPlus so I'm sticking it here before beginning to do a more advanced sort of processing!

15x 9min with my SW ED100 refractor, QHY410c on low gain, -10degrees, with a LPS filter. Some interesting artifacts are included... Some stars look like PNebs.

Cheers

You know, if I'd produced that, I wouldn't be tempted to do too much more to it at all, but I'm new to the photographic side of things.
Really nice result.

That's a fine image, Glenn. Well done.

Lots of subtle detail in the nebulosity that's waiting to be seen.

Cheers,

Brilliant...your seeing makes me envious.
It will be hard to improve on your effort here.

You should be very proud of such a fantastic shot! Well done!!
I find that when using an LP filter I get some chromatic rings around my stars if focus starts to shift during the session, so might be worth refocusing if you notice that is the subs.

Thanks guys.

Dave, I do see the fringe too. Ive used it to achieve focus, the red fringe disappears through focus and a blue fringe appears on the other side of focus.
I thought it was the ED refractor... I'll have a go at rechecking focus. I try to settle at focus with the focusser on its way out.
Maybe its time for a better LPS filter. What do you guys use?
Mine is pretty old.

Hi
I used StarTools to get to this from the same stacked dataset.
Still shows the artifacts and coma which I hadnt seen much of with this SW ED100 refractor.

Thanks for looking.
