View Full Version here: : Apollo 15 landing site .
Took these pictures using a c11 early Saturday night when the moon was high. First one shows the area of the moon where the landing occurred 51 years ago ( 7th august 1971) , near Hadley rille. If you magnify the picture you will see a small X marking the spot. The second picture shows a closer view of the Rille.

Ah! Nice.
An area of the moon I am also fond of (https://www.parkes.atnf.csiro.au/news_events/astrofest/awards/2020images/Winner_Solar_Peter_Ward.jpg)
There also some fascinating pictures taken by the Apollo crew while on descent from the LEM...worth finding in the NASA archives ;)
Nice rendition.

Very nice detailed images. The location brings back memories of those Apollo years in our youth.
