First time shooting M8 in roughly 4 years!
Was only able to get around 1 hour and 20 mins of data due to the target going behind an annoying tree in my backyard. Switched over to NGC6744 after that happened which I am in the process of processing.
I'm enjoying learning different processing techniques in PI and combining them all!

More data to be added over the coming days.
All criticism welcomed, I need to learn somehow

Looks very clear . You have dived right in . Cannot help you much with OSC but if you can get that out of PI with just and hour and a half of data you are well on your way. Just keep doing more of the same.

Here is my first image ever taken of M8. Funny to see how much improvement there has been since I took the 4 years off

Love the image, Jacob - so much detail in there and a beautifully restrained colour palette, too.
Your original image has - to my eyes - a great 'old school sepia photo' look to it. It may not be "colour accurate", but when it's an image you are proud of, who cares?? :)
Cheers,

Thanks Steve, much appreciated!
Oh for sure. That was my first ever mono image in Ha, and I thought it looked cool considering I didn't complete the SHO pallete. Unfortunately back then I never got to finish it. But now that I have I am very happy with the results!
I have become quite sick this week (not covid thankfully), so I missed my only opportunity for clear skies last night for a while :(

I thought I had made my comments but it seems not to have got here Jacob..I probably hit the "previous thread" button which sees your post gone forever.
I came back to have a better look at your image, which is very good I must say, because I am processing yet another Lagoon Nebula right now...and what to see your work once again to gauge how mine looks...
Anyways hopefully later but really well done you can be proud of your result thats for sure.
Alex
Very nice. Sorry I can't offer any help, I'm in the same boat
